Data Scientist / Data Engineer (m/w/d)

in Wangen

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative solutions with a focus on data analysis
  • Evaluating and selecting potential analytical procedures and technologies,
    contributing methodological and technical perspectives and experiences
    conducting feasibility studies (PoC)
  • Developing and assessing use cases
  • Developing strategies for pre-processing data (edge computing)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A degree in (business) computing, mathematics, statistics, physics, electrical engineering or equivalent training
  • Knowledge and experience in several of the following areas:
    • Experience in designing, realizing and servicing data-intensive applications
    • Practical application of data analysis methods (statistics, simulation and optimization, machine learning, etc.)
    • Programming and applying analytical methods with Python and/or R, particularly their data science stacks (pandas, scikit-learn, caret, tidyverse, etc.)
    • Visualizing complex correlations with Python, R (plotly, matplotlib, ggplot) and PowerBI
    • Developing data pipelines with Java, Scala, or Python
    • Querying common database solutions in their native languages (SQL, HiveQL, Gremlin, etc.)
    • Using cloud-based platforms (IaaS, PaaS), ideally Azure
    • Data modeling and data administration, databases and database queries
    • Distributed systems and common big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, Kafka)
  • Experience with agile methods of software development, ideally SCRUM
  • High level of initiative and solution-oriented approach
  • Outstanding conceptual and analytical skills
  • Fluent German and English skills
