Human Vibration
Reduction of human vibration
Human vibration is used to mean mechanical oscillations (vibrations, jolting, impacts) that are external forces that have an effect on humans, such as when working with forklifts.
Over a long period of time, jolting and vibrations when operating forklifts can be harmful for drivers. Since March 2007, the EU has stipulated mandatory limit values for human vibration for Germany. The operators of the machines are responsible for the compliance with these limits.
The KION Group brands have been active in the area of vibration protection for many years and set standards in the market.
In order to meet with the requirements, in Linde Material Handling forklifts the lifting mast and drive axles, steering shafts and inclination cylinders are disconnected from the vehicle. In STILL forklifts the driver’s cabin, which is positioned on rubber buffers, and the driver’s seat reduce the vibrations that are transferred to the driver’s work place.
