Our talent development programs support you in crucial phases of your career. They offer you a unique platform to showcase your skills and talents and to be considered for future opportunities within the company.​The following highlights some of our talent development programs. A comprehensive range of additional resources is available to further support your career journey at KION Group.

KION Leadership Horizons Program​

The program prepares potential candidates for executive positions by developing leadership, management, and strategic competencies, creating a talent pool for future executives.

KION Finance Talent Program​

The program supports Finance Organization potentials in achieving their career goals and increasing their visibility wihin the organization. Each member is assigned to a Talent Sponsor to provide support and promotion.

KION Women‘s Mentoring Program​

Mentors offer support, experience, knowledge, and feedback to mentees to aid in their professional and personal development. The program provides a platform for feedback exchange with top management and other mentees, increasing visbility for a diverse leadership team. The program is not available in all countries.

Explore Talent Development Program

Participants develop self-awareness, confidence, and career priorities, while gaining knowledge of key competencies, tools, methods, and the KION organization. The program also fosters cross-functional collaboration networks.

KION ITS EMEA Talent Pool

A two-year development program designed to accelerate the growth of high-potential talents across our Organisational Unit KION ITS EMEA. Participants engage in tailored experiences such as mentoring, strategic assignments, and deep business insights.
Our goal: to empower talents to shape their careers, expand their networks, and gain visibility with Senior Management — while building the skills needed for tomorrow’s challenges.

KION ITS APAC Management Talent Development Program

A Program that is designed to systematically develop and prepare our potentials for a director position and to interact and share insights with participants from different functions and regions.

DLT Networking Events

The events offer employees unique opportunities to connect with the Dematic Leadership Team and colleagues worldwide, fostering cross-functional experiences and cultivating global best practices. This program aims to increase engagement and retention of our top talents by providing meaningful development and networking opportunities.

LinkedIn Learning Courses for Employees

All KION employees worldwide have access to LinkedIn Learning. This enables them to pursue further education independently and flexibly in various areas. LinkedIn Learning offers a vast library of online courses created by subject matter experts.

Whether it's about developing soft skills, learning new software, deepening management competencies, or understanding current industry trends – there's a suitable offering for every need.

Trainings for Employees

Our training portfolio for employees covers a variety of relevant topics designed to strengthen our employees in their daily professional lives and specifically support their further development. The focus includes communication skills, constructive conflict resolution, and professional handling of change processes.

We rely on interactive, practical formats that facilitate the transfer into daily work and offer space for exchange, reflection, and individual growth. In this way, we jointly create the foundation for successful, confident, and future-oriented work.

Language Training for Employees

We promote international collaboration and offer our employees diverse opportunities for linguistic development. From improving English skills to learning a new language or perfecting communication abilities – we have the right offering!

  • English Group Language Courses: These courses aim to improve business English and enable successful communication with colleagues and partners worldwide. They offer an ideal platform to strengthen intercultural competence.
  • 1:1 Language Coaching: Here, you work with a personal language coach to achieve individual goals and advance your career. A tailored learning plan, customized to specific needs, ensures optimal results.
  • Speexx Language Training: The online learning platform offers flexible and effective ways to improve language skills – anytime, anywhere. Numerous interactive exercises and learning materials support you in fully realizing your linguistic potential.
Training for Leaders

Our training program for leaders covers a variety of topics specifically tailored to the demands of modern leadership – practical, interactive, and future-oriented. The focus is on competencies such as digital and lateral leadership, healthy and motivating employee management, confident handling of complex leadership situations, and the ability to actively shape transformation and innovation.

In this way, we support our leaders on their path to lead effectively, responsibly, and with a future-oriented approach.

Fundamentals of People Management (GPF)

Fundamentals of People Management (GPF) is a training series for leaders in Germany who are new to their role or experienced leaders who want to refresh their knowledge. The individual modules cover important topics of daily leadership.

The program's goal is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the most important HR instruments, processes, and regulations.

The training consists of twelve modules offered in a flexible format: either as a webinar or as a two-day in-person event. Both formats cover identical content – the choice is entirely up to the participants.

Development Programs for Aspiring and New Leaders

LeadUP:

The program is aimed at aspiring leaders within the ITS EMEA Operating Unit and seeks to identify talents in Operations and prepare them for their future leadership position. Program participants acquire relevant core competencies and learn about relevant tools and methods. They also improve their communication skills and receive comprehensive support and guidance in preparation for their first leadership role.

Move@KION ITS EMEA:

One of our development programs for young leaders is the move@KION ITS EMEA Leadership Program. The program is aimed at leaders within the ITS EMEA Operating Unit who are in the first three years of their leadership role. Objectives of the 12-month program are:

  • Implementing a uniform and successful leadership approach within the KION Group
  • Building a deeper understanding of KION ITS EMEA
  • Defining and gaining an in-depth understanding of one's own role and tasks
  • Improving one's own communication and feedback skills
  • Strengthening internal networks and exchanging best practices.

Development Programs for Experienced Managers and Executives

The KION Global Executive Program is one of our group-wide initiatives that targets all KION Executives worldwide. The program was developed in collaboration with INSEAD, one of the world's leading business schools.With the KION Global Executive Program, we aim to inspire our executives and support them in the successful implementation of our strategic goals.

This is to be achieved by:

  • Strengthening a uniform leadership competence and culture
  • Establishing a cadre of leaders who speak a common language and draw on a common "toolbox"
  • Building a strong network of senior executives within the KION Group
  • Strengthening the coaching skills of our executives and thereby achieving a performance increase within the entire KION Group
  • Highlighting the duality of roles as an individual Operating Unit or Group function and as part of the KION Group
  • Conveying content that corresponds to the latest state of knowledge in management and leadership and is applied to the KION Group.
