New chairman of the KION Group Supervisory Board

• Johannes Huth takes over from Manfred Wennemer

Wiesbaden, 29 June 2011 - The supervisory board of KION Group GmbH elected Johannes Huth (51) as its new chairman with immediate effect at its meeting today. Huth takes over from Manfred Wennemer (64), who has stepped down from the role after two successful years in office in order to concentrate on his work on other supervisory boards. Philip Wack of Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts & Co. Ltd. (KKR) has been appointed as a new member of the supervisory board to fill the vacant position created by the appointment of Johannes Huth as chairman.

'Manfred Wennemer gave KION his full support throughout the recent economic and financial crisis, making it all the more regrettable that he has decided to focus on his work on other supervisory boards', said Johannes Huth, new chairman of the supervisory board and partner of co-shareholder Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts & Co. Ltd. (KKR).
