The Salt Lake City, Utah (USA) plant manufactures stacker cranes (AS/RS) for the automated warehouse systems of KION subsidiary Dematic. The automation specialist has a comprehensive portfolio of AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval) solutions ranging from mini-loads for small parts warehouses to unit loads for pallet warehouses. In addition to these specialized AS/RS, the Salt Lake City facility also manufactures specialized high-tech products that serve as system components for other Dematic solutions.

To meet the growing demand in the long term, an expansion of the Salt Lake City plant is planned for 2022/2023.
