The KION Group has opened a new location in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This development is a significant strategic milestone in KION’s growth strategy for the Asia-Pacific region.

KION Vietnam will allow the Group to offer its comprehensive range of material handling and warehouse automation solutions to one of the region's most dynamic markets.
In addition to the Vietnamese team, customers and partners, the opening ceremony was attended by CP Quek, Chief Technology Officer of the KION Group. He emphasized the importance of the location for the company. Quek highlighted the tremendous growth opportunities that Vietnam offers. With impressive economic growth of 7.5 per cent — the fastest pace in 15 years — and demand for material handling equipment tripling since 2021 to exceed 10,000 units in 2024, Vietnam is a key market for the KION Group.
“As we look ahead, KION Vietnam stands ready to be a true partner in Vietnam's logistics transformation”, says CP Quek. “This expansion represents far more than a new office. It is the embodiment of our commitment to Vietnam's thriving economy and our confidence in Southeast Asia's growth potential.”
A highlight of the event was the ceremonial handover of key technology to Carlsberg Vietnam, one of the KION Group's most important and engaged customers in the region.
This provided an opportunity to showcase the company's latest innovations, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for increased safety, the SmartLink fleet management solution and Linde Material Handling's intuitive control technology. Through interactive product demonstrations and hands-on 'Product Bar Camps', participants were able to experience the benefits of these technologies firsthand.
