KION Group opens its new plant in Zhangzhou, China

The official opening ceremony took the form of a traditional Chinese celebration, which was attended by around 100 guests, including government representatives, business partners, and employees.

As well as production facilities and an office building, the 48,000 square meter site features a research and development center. The new plant will primarily be focused on warehouse equipment.

“Thanks to this state-of-the-art production facility, we can now manufacture up to 30,000 warehouse technology devices a year,” says CP Quek, member of the KION GROUP AG Executive Board and its Chief Asia Pacific & Americas Officer. “This will allow us to meet customer needs in an even more flexible and targeted way.”
