KION India's headquarters are located in Pune, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The plant consists of a modern production facility for industrial trucks (forklift trucks and warehouse trucks) as well as a spacious training center and a forklift driving school.

The site has an annual production capacity of approximately 6,000 units of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, which are mainly produced for KION's subsidiary OM, which is represented on the Indian market. The facility has three powered and two static assembly lines, a modern paint shop, a machine shop, a central warehouse for spare parts and its own research and development department. A quality assurance facility also makes it possible to simulate vehicle operating conditions in tests.

Sustainability plays an overriding role at the "Factory 2.0" in Pune: The company's own solar cells were installed to generate energy. In addition, 200 mature trees were planted, an area for growing vegetables was created for employees, and a water treatment system was installed.
